This month, we’ve been talking about Mental Wellness and what we at Today’s Family do to encourage it. It’s a big job, and it’s good to know that we have big friends!
Today is Bell Let’s Talk day, a day meant to spark conversations across Canada about mental health and mental wellness. We can do our part! If you have a Bell phone, Bell will donate 5 cents for every text and phone call you make. If you’re with another carrier, you can still help out! Check out the list below for other ways to use your favourite social media:
- Twitter Use the hashtag #BellLetsTalk in your tweets today
- Instagram Tag your photos with #BellLetsTalk
- Facebook Watch and share the Bell Let’s Talk video
- Snapchat Use the Bell Let’s Talk geofilter (swipe right on your photos until it pops up)
Every time you do one of the above, Bell will donate 5 cents towards mental health initiatives. It seems like a little, but it adds up to a lot – over the past six years, Bell has donated $6 million (!!) to mental health initiatives. $2 million of those donated dollars turned into grants for children and youth mental health initiatives, which is obviously something that’s near and dear to our hearts.
You can learn more about Bell Let’s Talk one their website. And if you’re busy tweeting today, why not include us in the conversation? Tweet at us @TodaysFamilyOnt, or get in touch with us on Facebook, where we’re Today’s Family Early Learning and Child Care. As always, we’d love to hear from you!
Until next time,
– Today’s Family
