As Spring continues to bloom all around us, and as we seem to finally be leaving the cold weather and flash freezes behind, it’s time to look ahead at what the rest of 2019 will bring. While it may seem a little premature to look too far ahead, we invite you to start thinking about Summer, and the return of our Summer Camps program here at Today’s Family.
This is not an April Fools’ joke; registration for the 2019 Today’s Family Summer Camps program is now open.
Available on a first-come, first-served basis, you can register for Today’s Family March Break Camps in the following ways:

If you’ve never participated in a Today’s Family camp program, you might not understand how big this news is. We are very proud of all of our programs, but we are especially proud of our camps. Today’s Family offers programs for children of all ages: Kinder (4-6), Adventure (7-9) and Extreme (9-12), as well as an engaging and rewarding Leader in Training program for 13 – 16 year olds.
No matter what level, our camps are built around community engagement, physical activity and outdoor play, artistic exploration, and exciting field trips. Campers spend time in our centres, and on weekly excursions to essential facets of their community, including pools, libraries, and conservation areas.
Another key component is the presence of the Emergent Curriculum, or the philosophy of tailoring activities to interests displayed by the children. While the Day Camps are not a rigorously educational program – it is summer vacation, after all – our capable staff do look to foster learning opportunities when they appear.
We do not offer Day Camp programs at all of our Today’s Family centres; however, many do offer Day Camp programs. To see if a centre near you is running a Day Camp program, you can talk to your Program Coordinator or go to https://www.todaysfamily.ca/programs/day-camps/.
