On October 4 and 5, 2010, community partners Today’s Family and the UJA Federation of Hamilton are bringing an award-winning film to the city. Inside Hana’s Suitcase is the moving, true story of George Brady and his sister Hana and their harrowing, tragic and ultimately heroic experience during the Second World War and the Holocaust.
We are screening this moving tribute to the tenacity of the human spirit for more than 4000 Hamilton-area students, as well as hosting an evening screening featuring appearances by 82-year-old George Brady himself and other special guests.
We hope this movie will act as a catalyst to initiate a discussion among students in schools and Hamiltonians in general about the value of human rights, the dangers of discrimination and bullying and the enormous importance of a shared sense of humanity.
