Olé! Tacos are a favourite lunch or quick dinner among Today’s Family families. And what’s not to love: they are fun, a little messy, and can be tailored to individual tastes and preferences. Today, we wanted to introduce you to our fish taco recipe, a slightly more adventurous taco than the ones you get in a box at the grocery store.
Our fish tacos use haddock or cod, although you can definitely experiment with other white, flaky fish filets. Throw on some couscous for texture, some green onions for flavour, and you’ve got a fiesta on your hands before even adding your favourite vegetables, like peppers, lettuce, zucchini, or salsa!

Avocados are another popular topping for fish tacos, adding a delicious creamy texture to the meal. Depending on how adventurous your children are as eaters, they may ask you “What in the world is an avocado?!” but try your best to convince them to try it – it adds depth to the meal.
