Now We’re Cooking: Black Bean Dip

Let’s talk about beans! More than just the musical fruit, beans are high in protein and fiber while being low in carbs and fat, which makes them the ideal base for a healthy, tasty dip like this one!

We mix together black beans, red onions, garlic, green onions, and Roma tomatoes and toss with salt, pepper, and texmex seasoning to create a delicious flavour profile, and then blend it all together in a food processor to create this dip in less than 5 minutes.

Now that you have this dip, you need to have a snack to dip in it! We like pita bread, but you could also use celery or carrot sticks for something even healthier. Try some corn chips for some nice crunch, too. All told, this dip makes the perfect side dish for your next taco night, or a tasty afternoon, after-school snack.
