EarlyON Child and Family Centres

play and learn together

EarlyON Child and Family Centres are places where parents, grandparents, caregivers, and children six years of age and younger play and learn together.

At the EarlyON Child and Family Centres, parents and caregivers can:

  • Take part with their children in a range of programs and activities
  • Get answers to questions
  • Get information about programs and services that are available for young children
  • Talk to early years professionals as well as with other parents and caregivers in the community

We are also pleased to share that the following EarlyON locations have resumed indoor and outdoor programs:

Helen Detwiler (View October Calendar | View November Calendar)

Dundas (View October Calendar | View November Calendar)

Waterdown (View October Calendar | View November Calendar)

Virtual (View October Calendar | View November Calendar)

Our virtual programs will also continue.

These three options (indoor, outdoor and virtual) will allow you to select the option you are most comfortable with and that best meets your family’s needs.

All programs and services require pre-registration. To ensure that the number of people accessing the centre is limited to 15, families must reserve their space by calling: 905 574 9344 ext. 820 or emailing [email protected]

All EarlyON centres will be required to follow strict health and safety protocols, including enhanced cleaning, reduced group sizes, staff training and screening.

Your family will be required to reserve a space in advance of attending an EarlyON centre and will be required to complete screening questions prior to entry.

Parents and caregivers, and children over the age of 5 will be required to wear a face covering while attending an EarlyON centre. If you are attending a location within a school, you will be required to wear a medical mask. Children between the ages of 2 and 5 are encouraged to wear a face covering, but it is not mandatory. It is not recommended that children under the age of 2 wear a face covering. Exceptions will also be made for parents, caregivers and children that are unable to wear a mask or face covering for medical reasons.

For more information about masks and face coverings, the COVID-19 situation, and reopening plans for City facilities and services, please visit www.hamilton.ca/coronavirus and www.hamilton.ca/reopens.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to our EarlyON Child and Family Centres and to seeing you, whether that is in-person, outdoors or virtually.
