Work and Family Connections is a consulting service available to area businesses as part of their own Employee Assistance Program or on its own. Because balancing work and family life is becoming increasingly complex, many people in the workforce are experiencing stress associated with the care of their children, an aged relative or even an ill or disabled family member. For most people, attempting to reconcile these conflicts on their own can be an overwhelming experience. Work and Family Connections provides an experienced consultant who will work on behalf of the employee to find appropriate and workable solutions to help meet their needs.
Employees can benefit from the program in a number of ways such as referral to community resources, “Lunch and Learn” seminars, individualized research and fact finding for employees who request it, and general information packages on a variety of subjects which are available to all. By eliminating some of the personal stress employees feel in the workplace, employers can benefit from increased productivity and ultimately, higher morale among staff.
