As we get close to the end of 2020, the Today’s Family blog wanted to take some time and highlight our four main child care programs. No matter the unique needs, we have a program that will work for you, your children, and your family!
School Age Programs are offered from the earliest days of being a student right up to age 12. The programs run Monday to Friday from 7:00am until the start of school and from the end of school until 6:00pm, as well as from 7:00am until 6:00pm on Professional Activity Days. Today’s Family runs 19 school-age programs across Hamilton, Halton, and Haldimand Norfolk.
Our school age programs offer safe and dependable programs at the beginning and end of the school day. While attending our school age programs, children are in a safe space in which they can socialize, expand their creativity, or focus on their studies with the support of our Early Childhood Educators.
School age programs are built around the Emergent Curriculum, an approach to childhood education that focuses learning opportunities on children’s interests and fascinations. We have written extensively about the emergent curriculum on this blog.
Children who attend school age programs are given another social circle to socialize and make friends and new relationships in. These programs help children better adjust to school life and gives them structured blocks of creative and play time in an education-centred environment.
